Hey Everyone,
Here’s another track from the new ‘Zammuto’ album being released on April 3. It’s one of the last tracks I made for the record, and this is the first time I’ve posted it anywhere. It features Sean Dixon on drums, who is playing a 6/8 clave pattern double time with his right hand and halftime with his left. It’s a mind bending thing to watch. Gene Back made the string part by multitracking his violin, then placing the samples on a Nord keyboard. I’ll post a video of it soon. Thank for listening!
You can preorder the record here: we’ll send it out next week:

Sadly both of your SF shows are completely sold out.
I think I’ll host dinner with some friends then a viewing of your Playall DVD instead.
Also will there be a digital download through a not evil distribution service of your new album?
Hey Rubin,
I know, those SF shows sold out instantaneously. Bummer. All of the LPs including my special edition hand screen-printed zebra butt LP come with a digital download straight from our awesome label Temporary Residence. Otherwise I-tunes is ok… not a terrible deal for us, considering most people just take it for free.
Thanks!
Nick
Sadly I don’t have more room in my life for more physical stuff.
I’m on Linux, so no iTunes for me, nor do I want to support their little monopoly. I’d be happy to grab the album for free through whatever channel and either mail you a check or hand you a wad of cash after your next show that isn’t sold out here, like I did the last time you rolled through.
Additionally I think Bandcamp is a great digital media distributor.
Thanks.
sounds good to me! I’ll check with my label to see if a bandcamp store is workable… i might sell FLAC right from my website instead.
Very excited for the album. You should know the Southeast will miss you on the tour
Look for us in the fall!
